  • Students Visit King Tut Exhibit

    Fifth grade students went on a field trip to the King Tut exhibition at UTPA. Students studied the exhibit as part of a thematic unit related to writing, art, social studies, and technology research projects. The trip also included a visit to the university's planetarium for a lesson on how Egyptians used the constellation. A tour of the campus allowed the students to listen to college students describe their own campus experiences.

Texas Bluebonnet Award

Congratulations Bonham students!  Some dedicated readers have been participating in the Texas Bluebonnet Award program. The program is aimed at students in grades 3rd through 6th. Students must read a minimum of five books from a master list and then vote for their favorite book. The author of the top voted book is declared the winner of the Texas Bluebonnet Award. The award will be presented in April at the Texas Library Association conference. Ten sudents who have participated in the statewide program will be selected randomly to be presenters.
