"I went into teaching to make a difference in my world and the world around me, but the truth is it is the people in my world who "push" and "poke" me to learn new ideas and view angles of the world I have not yet seen. I am truly humbled by my award and thank each of you for teaching me things along the way through my own journey in education as I reach for the "next plateau. The winning team is not in one teacher, but in the entire school and district...in my eyes South Staff raise A STEP ABOVE in supporting and mentoring for the success of all learners (including teachers) and always go STEP BEYOND!
