Child Nutrition

Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District Child Nutrition is committed to raising nutrition awareness and providing a quality food service program. Our sound food service plan takes into account the critical nutritional needs of our students, while reflecting the reality of current preferences of todays young people.

We are aware of the recent issues surrounding school nutrition and student health issues. In fact, our commitment to nutrition awareness has been a longstanding element of our program. It is critical to start children on the right path at an early age to understand the importance of eating properly and staying healthy.
